કહે છે ‘મા’ મને

તારું નાનપણ રોજ યાદ કર્યા કરું છું,
તને રોજ મોટો થતાં જોયા કરું છું.
આવતાં બદલાવનો અનુભ​વ કર્યા કરું છું,
પણ વસે છે મારો જીવ તારામાં તને કહ્યા કરું છું.

તારી સાથે દલીલો રોજ હું કર્યા કરું છું,
ને ગુસ્સાને પણ તારા અપનાવ્યા કરું છું.
લોકો કરે છે સારી સારી વાતો તારી ને મનથી હું મલકાયા કરું છું,
મમ્મીનો છે દીકરો એમ કહી હરખાયા કરું છું.

મારા આપેલાં સંસ્કાર રોજ તારામાં જોયા કરું છું,
વડીલોને માન ને નાનાને પ્યાર કરતા જોઇ ખુશ થયાં કરું છું.
જેવો છે એવોજ રહેજે મારાજ મનમાં હું કહ્યાં કરું છું,
તું મારો છે એનું થોડું અભિમાન કર્યા કરું છું.

કોમળ તારા હૃદયમાં ભરપૂર પ્રેમ હું જોયા કરું છું,
મદદ કર​વા સૌથી આગળ તને જોઇ તારું માન કર્યા કરું છું.
પરિવાર સર્વસ્વ છે તારું એ જોઇ ગદ ગદ થયા કરું છું,
કહે છે મા મને, ને રોજ તારા પ્રેમમાં હું નાહ્યા કરું છું.
