મને ખૂબ વહાલા લાગે છે મારા પપ્પા,
બારથી કડક ભલે લાગે,
અંદરથી ખૂબજ કોમળ છે મારા પપ્પા.
પ્રભુની ભારોભાર ભકિત તો કરે,
પણ લોકો માટે અઠ્ઠમ કરે છે મારા પપ્પા.
ગુસ્સો ભલે કરે,
પણ લાગણીનો વરસાદ વરસાવે છે મારા પપ્પા.
દયા કરતા શીખવાડે છે,
અને દાન કરતા પણ શીખવાડે છે મારા પપ્પા.
સંસ્કારો ઘણા આપે છે,
પણ સત્યને હંમેશાં પૂજે છે મારા પપ્પા.
ભલે હંમેશાં દૂર હોય છે,
લાગે છે મારી સાથે મારા પપ્પા.
લખતા વાંચતા શીખવાડયું છે,
દિલથી તમને ચાહું છું મારા પપ્પા.
જિંદગી તમને આપી દઉ
મારું તો માન અભિમાન છે મારા પપ્પા.
આજકાલ મને ખૂબ યાદ આવે છે મારા પપ્પા,
કેમ કહું મને ખૂબ વહાલા લાગે છે મારા પપ્પા.
